AUGUST 30, 2006
Robert Blair Smith was born in Fairfax Virginia in 1970,
his family relocated at the age of four to South Jersey.
First influence by his mother and grandmothers creativity,
he followed his love of the arts to college. He graduated
valedictorian of illustration at the Art Institute of Philadelphia
in 1990, receiving an Associates Degree in Illustration.
He’s been employed for over a decade creating environmental
&
commercial designs for one of the largest sign companies
on
the east coast. Mean while his freelance illustrations which
included
portraits & landscapes. After long hours pouring everything
into
tedious illustrations, he relaxes by sketching superheros
reading comics or watching old cartoons on DVD’s from his
youth
..(Favorites : Ultraman, Spiderman, Superman )
with his 3 ½ year old daughter .
Blair Smith is trained in high end Acrylic & Oil Illustrations,
Pen & Ink
Colored Pencil, Marker, Gouache & watercolor ,Photography,
3-D Clay Sculpting Airbrush, Design , Logo Design.
He has expert knowledge of Corel Draw ,
Corel Photopaint, Corel Painter, Photoshop. As well as
several other computer programs.
